Simply School Days,
A Division of Simply Liz Photography

A letter to the movers & the shakers of America’s Youth:

Simply Liz School Days focuses on journeys, not destinations. With a slow and steady hand, I offer a unique experience to a limited number of learning establishments and childcare facilities each season. Quite simply, I have one goal: to capture the unexampled and fantastically original spirit of childhood. I fiercely believe in the tradition of school portraiture, right down to offering print packages to accommodate every eager family member (and friend) on Facebook.

But I also believe that every child is unique—unique in trillions of ways no one even knows yet; not even them. There is no one size fits all approach to capturing the essence of children, and here is where I depart from the traditional “school portrait day.”

I work closely with administrators and teachers to offer a portrait day that best suits the desires of the school and the population of the children being photographed. Fully capable of indoor lighted sessions, “back-to school” sessions, holiday sessions, and more, I thrive on teamwork and new inspiration. Additionally, I have experience photographing children with special needs, learning disabilities and other unique situations. My proudest moment as a pre-school photographer was witnessing the pure joy and tears of a mother as she softly found the words to say “this is the only picture I have of him smiling.”

I am committed to chronicling the ages and stages that most children will never remember, but no parent will ever forget. And although children don’t quite remember the details of “picture day,” they certainly remember how they feel looking at their image years down the road. Every child deserves access to high quality imagery with highly qualified child photographers. Every child deserves to know they are worth the extra minutes in the day. Every child deserves to know they are beautiful on the inside and out; they are worthy of every opportunity this world has to offer; and they are capable of facing the innumerable challenges life will inevitably present.

I wildly believe in this next generation, and it is up to us to instill this belief in them. I invite you to join me on this journey—on their journey. And I invite you to learn more about the lasting effects that one positive self image can have on a child’s future. Because, they are the future; and we offer the lens through which they see the world.
