Bethesda Academy

Founded in 1740 by Rev. George Whitefield, Bethesda Academy proudly serves as the oldest child caring institution in the country.  Deeply rooted in Savannah history, Bethesda Academy was originally named Bethesda Orphan House and Academy and was visited by many founding fathers.  Currently, Bethesda Academy serves as a college preparatory school for middle and high school boys and boasts one of the most popular photography locations in Savannah.  Located approximately 15 minutes from historic downtown Savannah, Bethesda offers expansive oak tree lined streets and uninhibited marsh views.  All photography at Bethesda Academy is by appointment only.  For more information, you may visit their website, here.
